ALLEGRETTI NOMINATING PETITIONS SHOW WIDESPREAD SUPPORT
OUTPACES PRIMARY OPPONENT BY 1,000 SIGNATURES
STATEN ISLAND, NY – More than 6,200 voters showed widespread support for Congressional Candidate Michael Allegretti as he outpaced his Republican Primary opponent by 1,000 signatures on nominating petitions for the 13th Congressional District seat.
"Michael Allegretti's real business experience, deep roots in this community, and leadership qualities are resonating with voters across our district, reflected by the fact that he earned the support of so many more Republican voters in this petition process to be our Congressman," said Staten Island State Senator Andrew Lanza.
"This significant spread of 1,000 signatures is a testament to the strength of Michael Allegretti's organization and his widespread support among the party faithful," said Staten Island State Assemblyman Lou Tobacco. “The petition process proves he has widespread support across Staten Island and Brooklyn.”
“The overwhelming support for Michael Allegretti’s campaign, demonstrated through this petition process, proves that the voters in NY-13 are looking to the future for leadership, not backward towards the failed politics of yesterday,” said Brooklyn State Senator Marty Golden.
“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of over 6,200 voters in our district to return this Congressional seat to the people and take it away from the Washington interests that have failed us,” Allegretti said. “With this strong show of support, I look forward to the September Republican Primary and the November General Election.”
Allegretti, who was nominated by the Staten Island and Brooklyn Republican parties and officials such as State Senator Andrew Lanza (R-SI), State Senator Marty Golden (R-BK), and State Assemblyman Lou Tobacco (R-SI), has an ever-growing base of behind him.
“My message of reducing spending, cutting taxes and creating jobs is clearly resonating with the voters,” Allegretti said. “I look forward to sharing my common-sense message with even more voters and proving that real solutions to fix our economy are what voters in our district need.”
